Safeguarding statement

Safeguarding is central to TAG CIC’s work.

TAG CIC works around children, young people, vulnerable people, practitioners and organisations. Safeguarding is treated as a core responsibility, not a policy add-on.

Important: This website is not an emergency service, referral route or safeguarding reporting mechanism. If someone is in immediate danger, call emergency services. If you have an active concern, follow the relevant school, organisation, local authority or service safeguarding procedure.

Our public commitment

Therapeutic Activities Group CIC is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We aim to work in ways that are safe, boundaried, proportionate and accountable.

How safeguarding is reflected in our work

  • Clear professional boundaries and safer working expectations.
  • Safeguarding-aware practice in direct delivery and training.
  • Escalation routes for concerns, disclosures or changes in risk.
  • Service-specific policies and procedures for commissioned work.
  • Awareness of child and adult safeguarding duties where relevant.
  • Use of proportionate records, supervision and review.

Service-specific procedures

The Baxter Project, Dragonfly CPD and DNA-V Traitors may involve different safeguarding contexts. Direct work with children and young people requires different procedures from public training or platform-based CPD. Detailed service-specific information can be supplied to commissioners, schools and partners.

Safer recruitment and suitability

Where roles involve direct work with children, young people or vulnerable groups, appropriate suitability checks, safer recruitment expectations, supervision and role boundaries apply.

Allegations and concerns

Concerns about practice, conduct, low-level concerns or allegations must be handled through the relevant safeguarding and organisational procedures. TAG CIC can provide appropriate contact routes to commissioners and partners as part of due diligence.

Governance documents

Safeguarding, child protection, professional boundaries, lone working, data protection and related operational documents can be made available to legitimate funders, commissioners, schools and partners.
